Some days you feel the weight of the trust before the first frame. Filming Zozibini Tunzi and Luthando Bolowana's wedding was one of those days, and we count it among the great privileges of our work.
Zozibini, crowned Miss Universe in 2019, is famously private about her personal life, and the couple chose an intimate celebration at Belair Pavilion in Cape Town on 22 March 2025, surrounded by close friends and family. Our job on a day like that is to be almost invisible: to hold the real moments honestly, and to let the day breathe rather than perform for the camera.
We filmed the arc of it as we always do, unobtrusively and editorially, from the quiet getting-ready hours to the ceremony and the celebration that followed. The bride wore a custom gown by designer Phan Huy, and the day carried the warmth and restraint the couple wanted. What we set out to capture was not spectacle but feeling, the glances, the tears, the moment two people become a family.
Belair Pavilion gave the day a setting of real elegance, and it is a venue we love to film in. The film was later shared with the world, and People featured the wedding in March 2025, a moment of quiet pride for our small team.
