Cavalli Estate is where contemporary architecture, sculpture and vineyard meet at the foot of the Helderberg near Cape Town. Its clean lines and dramatic spaces are a gift to a filmmaker, and they gave Lee and Jess's wedding a modern, editorial elegance you feel from the first frame.
We filmed with a modern eye that lets the estate's design and the couple's day share the frame, unobtrusive and editorial as always. A space this considered rewards restraint, so we looked for the real moments and let the architecture hold them rather than overwhelm them.
From the getting-ready hours to the celebration that followed, we shot the whole arc of the day and cut it with care, so it still feels exactly like the day it was.
