Shakti & Phil's Wedding at Giraffe Manor, Kenya

Shakti & Phil's Wedding at Giraffe Manor, Kenya

A CinaStage wedding film at Giraffe Manor, Nairobi

Some venues are unrepeatable, and Giraffe Manor is one of them. Set on the edge of Nairobi, the historic manor is famous for the resident Rothschild giraffes that wander its grounds and lean through the windows at breakfast. Filming Shakti and Phil's wedding here was one of the great privileges of our year.

We travelled to Kenya to film the day the way we film everywhere, unobtrusively and editorially, letting the extraordinary setting hold the story rather than overwhelm it. A place this singular asks for restraint. Our job was to catch the real moments, the quiet, the joy, the once-in-a-lifetime strangeness and beauty of it, and let them speak.

We shot for the full arc of the celebration and cut it with care over the weeks that followed. The result is a film that is unmistakably theirs and unmistakably Giraffe Manor, a day that could have happened nowhere else.

Shakti and Phil's wedding was later featured by Carats & Cake, a moment of real pride for our team. This is the highlight film from their day.

Thank you both for letting us tell a story quite like no other.
