It is a particular kind of trust to be asked to film a day that the world is curious about. We had the honour of filming South African motorsport star Brad Binder's wedding, and we approached it exactly as we approach every wedding we care about: quietly, unobtrusively, and entirely in service of the couple.
When a wedding is in the public eye, the temptation is to make the film about the occasion. We do the opposite. Our job was to hold the real, human moments, the ones that have nothing to do with fame and everything to do with two people, and to give the couple a record of their day that feels like theirs alone.
We filmed the arc of the celebration and edited it with the same care and discretion we bring to every couple who values their privacy. Nothing staged, nothing exaggerated, just the day as it truly was, told with an editorial, cinematic hand.
