Voltare Gabanna in South Africa

Photography that holds up
as imagery, not only memory.

South Africa offers some of the world's most extraordinary light, landscape, and architectural backdrops for wedding photography. From the vineyard estates of the Cape Winelands to the game reserves of Limpopo and the polished venues of Gauteng, every setting demands a different approach.

Voltare Gabanna, the photography division of CinaStage Studios, was built to meet that demand. Founded by Zandré Ross, the studio approaches photography as editorial work rather than event documentation. Every image is light-led and deliberately composed. Nothing is forced or manufactured.

Voltare Gabanna photographs nationally, covering every province and venue in South Africa. The studio also travels internationally for destination weddings on every continent.

Why Voltare Gabanna

What separates an editorial image
from a snapshot.

Editorial, not documentary

Voltare Gabanna photographs with the patience of a fashion photographer. Every frame is considered for light, composition and moment before the shutter fires. The result is imagery that works as fine editorial photography, not only as wedding record.

Photographed in-house, never outsourced

There is no outsourced photographer sent in the studio's place. Every Voltare Gabanna commission is photographed by the studio's own team. This is a considered editorial service, not a production line.

Light-led, not flash-dependent

Voltare Gabanna works primarily with available and natural light. Harsh flash is avoided wherever possible. This preserves the atmosphere of each moment and produces images with depth, warmth and authenticity.

A considered calendar

A limited number of photography weddings are accepted per year. This protects the quality and attention given to every commission, and ensures each couple receives focused, unhurried coverage.

Where We Photograph

South Africa's finest venues

Babylonstoren

One of the Cape Winelands' most celebrated farm estates. Its Cape Dutch architecture, mountain backdrop and sculptured gardens create an extraordinary photographic canvas for any wedding.

Delaire Graff Estate

Perched on the Helshoogte Pass with sweeping valley views. Its art-filled interiors and Relais and Chateaux designation attract couples who want both landscape grandeur and intimate luxury.

Shepstone Gardens

Johannesburg's most beloved garden venue. Mature trees, manicured lawns and Victorian glasshouses offer a lush counterpoint to the urban setting around it.

The Westcliff Hotel

Set into the Johannesburg ridge with sweeping views across the city's northern suburbs and the Zoo Lake. A refined five-star backdrop for intimate luxury weddings.

Toadbury Hall

A destination wedding estate north of Johannesburg, set on rolling farmland with its own chapel, gardens and accommodation for the full wedding party.

Jabulani Private Game Reserve

A five-star private game reserve in the greater Kruger region. For couples who want a bush wedding unlike anything else, photographed against the landscape of the African wilderness.

“We had no idea photography could feel so alive. Every image looks like it was pulled from a magazine, yet it is unmistakably our day.”
